Straka Construction & Earthmoving LTD maintains a full-time dig out crew, with over 20 years experience with the civil industry. We can cater to all requirements and have functioned full time under Auckland Council & Auckland Transport’s subcontractors since the company’s inception.
WHAT ARE CIVIL WORKS?
Civil works are any works/jobs involved with the maintenance, design and construction of both natural and physically built environments such as roads, railways, buildings, water reservoirs, subdivisions, airports, bridges, sewer systems, tunnels and dams.
DIG OUTS
The main crew operates with excavators from 5.5T – 14T on the roads, with 4×2 and 6×4 trucks to cart materials and waste away, a fully-customised tool truck and crew cab with everything from water, diesel, emulsion through to full testing equipment and a full range of tools, fully qualified STMS and experienced labourers and operators.
GABION BASKETS & ROCK ARMOURING/RETAINING
Useful on a range of jobs, we have used these techniques and services extensively for the Auckland Council and private jobs.
DRAINAGE
Drain cleaning, maintenance/creation, water table clearing, under channels, etc, all done to and above council specification.
ASPHALT
Our dig out crew can tack & blind, tack & full lay. Our custom tool truck carries an emulsion tank on board with all spray equipment, as well as compactors, generators, and other required equipment.
STORMWATER PONDS
We were heavily involved in the construction of the Greenhithe Stormwater ponds, and have completed other similar ponds and systems since. We use 14-20T excavators for works of this size and nature, and can cater to Council requirements.
