COMMERCIAL & RESIDENTIAL
There are a lot of instances where concrete comes into play, and we can handle most residential and commercial size pours. This includes driveways, house sites, building platforms, footpaths, curb and channel for roads, and virtually anything else that involves concrete. We have 4+ man time for standard jobs, with all the necessary equipment and expertise. Whether your job is for a private project, or you’re interested in engaging our civil crew, we can make sure your project will be completed on time, and professionally.
CONCRETE VARIABLES
There are a lot of varieties, and we can cater to any option. You can change the thickness, slump, chip size, and even add colour to concrete to make it black or white. Mesh reinforcement comes into play if your concrete will involve vehicles or building materials braced against it too.
Thickness: our standard driveway thickness is 150mm with mesh reinforcing. If you will have trucks or heavy machinery, then thicker concrete with a stronger mesh is recommended.
Slump: the consistency of the concrete prior to it being poured.
Chip size: the size of the aggregate we use in conjunction with the strength (MPA) of the concrete to determine strength. Aggregate sizes range from 10mm – 19mm.
The larger the size of the aggregate, the lower the required grade of MPA needs to be (e.g., a 19mm chip size may only need 20mpa, whereas a 10mm chip size might require 25-30mpa).
